What is the cost of the tour?

 The cost is $55 per rider (plus tax).     

                                                                                                                                                               

What is the length of the tour?

The tour including training lasts approximately 2 hours.  

 

Do I need a reservation for the tour?

Yes, a reservation is required.  Please contact us to check availability.

 

Is the tour fun?

OMG!  It is so much fun! It is not uncommon for riders to weep with joy!

 

How many riders are there on each tour?

The maximum number of riders per tour is six.

 

What time should I arrive for the tour?

Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. 

 

I have never ridden a Segway.  Is it difficult to ride a Segway?

Training is provided prior to the tour.  To move forward or backward on the Segway, the rider leans slightly forward or backward.  To turn left or right, the rider simply moves the LeanSteer frame left or right.  You get the sense of power and speed, yet you also feel a sense of safety and absolute control.  It all feels natural, safe, and instinctive.

 

Are there any requirements to ride a Segway on the tour?

-        Must weigh between 100-260 lbs.

-         Must be capable of walking up a flight of stairs unassisted and with out using a handrail

-         Must be at least 16 years of age (parent or guardian must sign “Release of Liability Waiver” for minors to ride)

-         Must complete the instructional training session prior to the tour

-         Must wear a helmet which will be provided

-         MUST want to have fun!

 

What will I see on the tour?

You will visit over 50 sites and attractions in downtown Columbus including the Short North Arts District, the Arena District, parkland along theScioto River and historic downtown.  Click on the Segway Tours tab for a sampling.

 

What happens in case it rains?

We will not tour in a heavy rain.  We are able to tour in a light rain.  We ask that you dress appropriately for the day's weather conditions, but we do have rain ponchos available.  You will not be charged if the tour is canceled due to poor weather conditions.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

All reservations must be canceled within 48 hours of your scheduled tour time or you may be charged for the full amount of the tour on your credit/debit card. 

 

What type of shoes should I wear?

Please wear tennis shoes or other comfortable “closed toe” shoes.  “Flip flops” are not recommended.
